Responsibilities

The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator works closely with the surgical services departments and providers, ensuring all department needs are met in a timely and accurate manner. Actively research needs, purchases, inventories, stocks and dispenses non-food, non-drug supplies in accordance with facility policies and procedures, continuously monitors inventory counts and expiration dates of supplies in order to assure inventory is available when needed. Coordinate with healthcare industry representatives to ensure instrument and equipment special requests are met. Work to standardize supply requisition and dispensing, cycle counting, and various Store Room duties. The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of all materials delivered by various vendors, for the PAR Level Systems in the surgical services department store room, including the adjustment of stock levels. The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the computer inventory control system, researching and correcting errors, and auditing inventory transactions. Enter implant and supply data in surgical records for case-costing and billing needs. Maintain vendor contracts for surgical implants and supplies, and ensuring vendor pricing is consistent with contracts. Learn and effectively support overall facilities materials department tasks as needed.

Qualifications

High school education with at least three years of materials management or Stockroom, purchasing and/or cost-accounting experience. Good communication skills - verbal and written. Demonstrable computer skills – proficient in internet purchasing, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn differing company software as needed. Surgical or clinical experience preferred.

Minimum Salary

USD $27.43/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $41.86/Hr.
