We have full-time (1.0, 80 hours per two weeks) positions available in our Surgical Services department. This position is day shift working Monday - Friday with rotating on-call hours during the week, every third weekend and including rotating holidays.

Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Manager, Lead Tech, and Lead RN, the Processing Technician is responsible for the proper processing of equipment and instruments used in surgical services. Communicates regularly with Lead to discuss changes in schedule and instrument trays.

1. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 

2. One year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech preferred.

3. Completes in-house training on care and handling of surgical services equipment/instruments by qualified hospital staff.
4. Previous health care and/or hospital work experience required. 
5. Certification in Central Sterile Processing preferred.
6. Communicates and works effectively with others.
7. Sincere interest, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail required for quality patient care.
8. Ability to report to work within 45 minutes or less while on-call.
