We have a full-time (0.9, 72 hours per two weeks) position available in our Surgical Services department. This position works Monday-Friday 9 hour shifts, rotating weekends and holiday call. On-call hours are 6am-6pm.

The registered nurse specializing in perioperative nursing practice performs nursing activities in the preoperative, intra-operative, and postoperative phase of the patient's surgical experience. This position requires the RN to work effectively in Same Day Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care, the procedure room, operating room in the circulating nurse role. The position also includes on-call hours for surgical emergencies.

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota license. Certified in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
2. Knowledge and experience in perioperative nursing preferred. General knowledge in hospital nursing and the ability to use the nursing process.
3. Ability to interact in a positive and cooperative manner with courtesy and respect towards co-workers, patients, physicians and other customers.
