We have one casual position available in our Rehabilitation Services Department. This position includes working in our inpatient therapy department assisting physical and occupational therapists with direct patient care. This position involves working every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holidays.  The position includes the opportunity to work additional weekends in rotation if desired and the potential opportunity for weekday hours based on scheduling needs.

The receptionist/aide works at the Rehabilitation Services Department reception desk.  Duties include, but are not limited to, answering the telephone, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, copying, faxing, arranging interpreters, discharging charts, sending orders and paperwork for signatures. This position also requires tracking the Medicare Therapy Threshold and assisting staff therapists with insurance tracking and documentation requirements such as for UCare and Humana. Additional duties include performing operational duties as assigned (e.g., cleaning and other clerical duties), managing work queues, verifying charges, and scheduling patients for cardiac rehab services. 


Direct patient care duties include transporting, transferring, and ambulating patients under the direction of staff therapists and assisting staff therapists with patient care as needed.


Must have orientation to the hospital and work area. On-the-job training in areas as listed under General Duties. In-service education to hazardous materials present in the department and infection control. Must have basic computer, copier, and telephone skills. Must have excellent customer service skills and present in a friendly, courteous, and caring manner.

Minimum Salary

USD $16.39/Hr.

Maximum Salary

USD $19.43/Hr.
